XBackBone, not sure what the actual point of it is but it sure is a useful tool to take screenshots and send as a link as opposed to bloating the shit out of my PC storage. It was supposed to be a simple install, I had it setup and running just fine on the old domain so what could possibly make the install this time difficult?? Unfortunately, no plan survives first contact or, in this case, second contact despite the steps being the exact same.
4000+ files need to be transferred from extracted zip and into the sub-domain that was set up for the program. The whole upload took awhile and, upon completion, the FTP client reported 16 files failed to transfer. No biggie, I’ll reupload the folders with the failed files and set the rule to skip duplicates. Files failed again.
Upon investigating, the files were failing because there were files in the main folder with the name of the folder that I was trying to upload. (i.e. there was a file named “install” which prevented the “install” folder from uploading.) Deleted those files and tried again and all files uploaded successfully! Hooray!!
Ran the install, set up the admin account, and logged in. Page failed to load. Refreshed, went to the profile page and the page failed to load. It’s annoying but it looks like the sites working for the most part. Keep clicking through to get it setup the way I had it before but the page failing to load/connect to the server keep reoccuring which is getting annoying. On top of that, I can’t generate a token to download the config for ShareX… Fuck… Back to square 1… a fresh install.
Sub-domain folder cleared of all files and folders, and so begins the 4000+ file upload again.
And, an hour later, the files transfer successfully… site installs without issue, and I can begin to snip with ShareX to the site. Technology is fucking retarded…
